A crash course to congressi secularism

  1. India is secular because of congress. It was communal back in history, except for a few secular leaders like Akbar. Gandhiji made it somewhat secular, and Indira Gandhi completed the process during emergency by constitutional amendment.
  2. Appeasing Muslims is secular and inclusive. But appeasing Hindus is communal and divisive.
  3. Riots in congress rule are secular and spontaneous. State is not responsible for controlling it. Riots in BJP time are communal and pre-planned.
  4. There is only one minority in India, which is around 20% of the population. Other groups, which constitute 5%, 2% etc are not fit enough to be given special care.
  5. Hindus will never be a minority, even if they constitute 2% of a region, after they have been drove away by open threats. No one will be bothered to talk about "justice" to them.
  6. State will try to reform, control and tamper with Hindu’s customs and traditions. But traditions of Islam will not be touched upon, well, because they are "sacred traditions".
  7. State will not interfere in religion, which is a personal matter. But state will control the functioning of temples. The same state will not control mosques and churches.
  8. Hinduism talks of equality of all religions. But talking of principles of hinduism is communal. Constitution talks of no discrimination on the basis of religion. But giving religious reservation is secular.
  9. 90% of Islamic nations implement sharia. But Islam is not to be blamed for that, and it is secular. Hinduism gives equal respect to all religions. But Hindutva is communal.
  10. Birthplace of Rama was ransacked and converted to a mosque. This is a secular act. But asking to take it back, because of faith, is communal. After all, Rama is a figment of imagination of poets, and other beliefs supersede it in importance.
